What’s wrong with criticism

Meghan Daum cautiously lays out the problem but barely gets started in exploring its implications. Basically, what used to be very poorly remunerated is now demanded free. An already low bar has been dropped to the ground. And we’re losing the ability to appreciate that distinction–of what could and should get over that bar, and what shouldn’t.
