In the meantime–check out this interesting take from across the Atlantic on the passing generation of American fiction stars. An era is definitely ending, but somehow I think that our own readers over here have a pretty different sense of these writers than the Brits do: though I’m unsure if their perspective on things might not be more clear than ours.
