Over at the Atlantic site, Alyssa Rosenberg takes on a subject I’ve long been interested in–how we learn to drink, and what we drink as our education evolves. As our Surrey imprint publishes ever more cocktail books (including next month’s blockbuster), I think a lot about how different people get interested in cocktails, mixed drinks, and higher-end drinking experiences (I think we all know what those lower-end experiences are). Rosenberg’s piece gives a nice picture of her own evolution in this respect–and the comments are a blast.
