Chris Anderson’s next book sounds familiar

From today’s Publishers Lunch: “Wired magazine editor Chris Anderson’s THE NEW INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, the story of how entrepreneurs are using web principles to rejuvenate manufacturing – and the economy – through open source, custom-fabrication and do-it-yourself design, predicting that we are about to see the collective potential of a million garage tinkerers unleashed on global markets, to John Mahaney at Crown, by John Brockman of Brockman (NA).”

Yes, reader–I too thought that read as though this book will cover ground very similar to that covered in our recent Baked In, by Alex Bogusky and John Winsor, not to mention Winsor’s just-released Flipped: How Bottom-Up Co-Creation is Replacing Top-Down Innovation. Not that I’m suggesting Anderson’s work might be derivative of our titles. No. I am not. Rather, I’m suggesting that our books got to this topic sooner. Why wait for Anderson’s? Read Winsor and Bogusky right now and get to the front of the curve, rather than staying behind.
